2 year old boy dies in tragic accident

A two-year-old Australian boy was accidentally killed on Monday afternoon by his mother as she was driving her car in reverse at their home in Jalan Binchang in Bishan.
According to media reports, the toddler, Henry Harrington, was playing with his skate scooter at the front gate when he saw his mother returning home.
He ran toward her white multi-purpose vehicle as it reversed into their two-storey rented bungalow.
His mother, a housewife, did not see him and ran over him, only realising what had happened when a passing taxi driver yelled at her to stop the car, according to The Straits Times.
At that time, the family's domestic helper was doing chores at the back of the house, while Henry's older sister, aged 4, was inside. His older brother, 6, was out on a play date.
Neighbours saw Mrs Harrington screaming and holding her son, as she performed CPR on him while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Businessman Jack Lee, who lives opposite the Harringtons, said that he heard his neighbour's screams and ran to their house where he saw a pool of blood under the family's car, reported The New Paper.
"At first, I thought it was a dog," Lee said on seeing Mrs Harrington with her son. "But when I looked closer, I realised it was a child. She was panicking and shouting for someone to save her son."
Henry was then rushed to KK Women and Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:45pm.
A police spokesperson said that investigations are ongoing and that they have questioned Mr and Mrs Harrington.
Henry's father, Dion, said his wife usually brought Henry along whenever she went out.
"Yesterday was one of the rare occasions she left him at home," he said.
He also said he plans to bring his son's body back to Perth, where they lived before moving to Singapore in September last year.
He said, "We will probably just have a service in Singapore, but we intend to bring him back to Perth this weekend."
This is so tragic. No parents should go through this. Everytime parents have to bury their kids ...it so sad, so sad bcoz me and my family went through it and I never, never want it to happen to anyone else. It is so heartbreaking when something tragic happen like this.

Father's Day
This coming 19th June is all about Father's Day. This blog should have been written by children about their father. But I decided to write about my husband, who also happens to be a dotting father...He'll do anything for his kids. His days starts very early, infact it started the night before. He would prepare the ingredients for his kids breakfast the next day. He would rather loose watching his favourite show just to prepare these ingredients. The next morning he would wake up early to prepare breakfast and once they are ready he would drive them off to class. If they have a long break for lunch for which they normally comes home, my husband would then rush home to prepare lunch for them and pick them up from class and after lunch send them for their afternoon class. He would come back home to prepare for dinner and the task of picking up the kids from class would be mine in the evening. You can imagine how tired he would be by evening but he still manage to open the house gate (manually, I never bring the gate/house keys)whenever we arrived at home. He would welcome us home with the most loving grin on his face (despite the ugly look we gave him whenever we (me & the kids) argue in the car. So on this Father's Day I just want to let the whole world knows, that I'm so happy to be married to my husband who never once complaint that he is tired of just being there for us. I LOVE YOU HONEY, ALWAYS.........

Siar Beach Lundu

Yipeeee.. Long Holiday coming up but no friends to share it with...
Here comes the long Gawai holiday. I remembered in year 1983 or 1984 (i think),we get to go on school holidays for weeks for the Gawai holiday which coincide with the Hari Raya celebration. That was fun when you are surrounded by friends. As we grew older, we miss faces that we use to know. I don't know what happen but friends that we use to know end up merely being a face without a name in our memory. So sad but it is happening everywhere. My girls are going through the same phase. After high school, everyone went their own ways and the face we use to know will be just another face without a name in our memory.

What happen to Rumah Dayak???
So the Bidayuh has their own DBNA Multi Purpose Hall now...Malu kitai Iban laban Rumah Dayak kitai lebih 23 tahun lalu bedau tembu! Sida Bidayuh nadai didinga berita tau nembu ke projek sida.Everytime I pass by the flyover I would turn to look at the direction of Rumah Dayak. I used to have fond memories of that place but now it is just an eyesore. I'm dissapointed with our Iban leaders. Not one step forward to settle the issue of the prolong construction of the Rumah Dayak. What a shame!

Anembiak kitai Iban
Amai tekenyit aku meda indu ti nganti aku ba mua pintunya....Aku ngumbai sida iya datai ka komplen pasal bala pekerja aku. Nemunya ka minta gawa ba kompeni. Aku pan baru teringat opis ba Kuching bisi mansut ka pengerah pengawa puang nyadi “Safety & Health Officer” enggau “Accountant”. Siko indunya lalu madah ka apply ka “Safety and Health Officer”. Aku lalu nanya, “Nuan bisi certificate “Safety and Health Officer” tauka kumbai sida iya “green book”? “Nama utainya?”, ko indunya nyaut aku. Aku lalu nanya iya baru “Nuan nemu nama reti “Saftey Officer” tauka pengawa nyadi “Safety Officer”? “Enda nemu” saut iya. Apuuuuuuuuuu..........................
Bakanya bunyi anembiak ti di interview aku. Utai ti ka dikenang aku ditu ianya pasal bala kitai nembiak Iban ti datai interview. Balat amat nadai runding :
1. Baju ti kena seduai datai interview - baju T-shirt enggau tanchut naka patung. Enti sekali peda baka urang ti minta gawa nyadi “cleaner”.
2. Nadai meresa enggau silik nama batang pengawa ti ka di pinta. Kumbai sida iya cukup ngena SPM aja kena minta pengawa.
Tang aku respect seduai iya laban berani nguji taja seduai iya muai masa aja. Ditu aku ka ngenang ka ulah anembiak kitai Iban ba dalam ngiga pengawa :
1. Anembiak kitai Iban enda nemu ngemeran ka maya datai “interview” enggau maya start gawa. Terubah datai minta nyadi welder. Jadi dipinta mai welding certificate iya pagilak. Datai pagilak, anti datai enda datai. Udahnya bisi nembiak bukai datai interview, taja pan enda expert ba welding tang ulih ga kena. Disuruh datai seminggu da agi lalu start gawa. Udah seminggu mansa, anti datai enda datai, telepon ngagai iya madah ka diri agi nganti bala ngambi iya ba menua???????? Udah dipadah start gawa seminggu da agi, nama main enda datai tumu agi? Kira ka udah 3 ari dah nya, datai baru ga nembiak ka terubah tadi, nanya ka pengawa “welder” nya baru. Aku pun madah, kami udah bulih urang, ni kami ka ngambi nuan agi! “Nuan disuruh mai certificate datai ari siti lalu nadai terpeda ka mua nuan agi, kati kami enda ngambi urang bukai deh?”. Enda bebunyi anembiaknya lalu pulai. Amat nyelai ati aku meda perangai anembiak kitai Iban ngiga pengawa. Kumbai sida iya mina sida siku aja minta pengawa pia? Berintai urang ti nadai pengawa diatu, sapa dulu iya meh bulih. Masa amat berat ba runding kami ti megai pengawa. Tang aku merati ka nembiak diatu, nadai ngemeran ka masa. Enti saritu start gawa, saritu ga baru bekejang ari rumah panjai, saritu ga ngankut sida tilam....Nama reti kitai bakanya?
2. Anembiak kitai Iban ti udah bulih pengawa.....saritu datai pagila lesap! Bila ditanya, madah pulai ka menua, bini sakit. Tang ba runding aku sida iya enda tan gawa pedis baruh panas tiap hari. Ba rumah panjai sida iya kelalu nyamai, turun ari rumah lalu ngiting midin, bulih tubu, nginti ikan bisi ga utai ka diempa. Nya alai pedis mimit sida lalu engai gawa. Kati kitai ka gubah runding sida ti baka tu?? Enti majak baka tu runding sida iya, dudi ari bansa bukai baka sida Indonesia, Myammar, Bangladesh menuh ka pengawa ti berat-berat ba menua kitai. Sapa ti ka dianu kitai enti dudi ari menua kitai dipegai bansa bukai?????? Salah kitai empu ti nguan menua, belajar pandai enggai, gawa pedis enggai, nama utai ti diulih, nambah ka amak menua aja.
Kitai Iban laban ka cukup nelap enda mudah ka nganu sidak iya. Tang ti kena ka bala sida boss bansa bukai, pedis pending sida iya kena sembur jako jai. Tu amat nyadi, puas aku meda sida kena anuk tang bala anembiak kitai Iban ta enda mereti. Sorry ti jaku aku bisi kasar di dinga. Arap ka bala anembiak kitai Iban tau ngubah runding sidak ngambi ka menua kitai dudi ari enda labuh ngagai jari urang ari menua bukai serta kitai Iban enda tinggal arus pemansang.
