Last One Standing

I can't believe I'm the last person standing to clean up the shit. Never have I experienced such a high staff turnover in a project as it did here. I can't understand why no one wants to stay to finish this project. I should have gotten HR to change the recruitment terms and conditions. Well, this is not going to happen again, ever!

Anembiak ti tercicir ari sekula.
Newspaper 4th Dec 2009, bisi nyebut pasal Kementerian Pelajaran ka mansik nama kebuah sida anembiak tercicir ari sekula. Nya endang sigi manah enti bisi urang ka ngepun serta mansik utainya. Tang diatu aku ka nusi utai ti amat nyadi ba menua kitai, nama kebuah anembiak sekula mayuh tercicir ari sekula :
1. Keran ka belaki/bebini.
Bisi indu tu baru umur 14 taun udah nadai sekula laban iya tetemu ka urang laki ti dua kali ganda umur iya lalu ka nyadi bini iya. Enda sampai 6 bulan nyadi melaki bini lalu sarak. Nama untung kitai lebih-lebih agi indunya laban pemandai nadai, naka form satu aja. Diatu supermarket pan paling kurang Form 5 baru di perening urang. Nya alai panjai ka runding kitai sebedau kitai ka belaki laban sida laki enda pedis enti sida iya muai kitai indu. Tang iya ti pedis kitai indu tambah agi enti bisi anak.
2. Nadai runding ka belajar.
Nyepi pedis maya belajar, nadai endur betanya, apai indai enda ga nemu ABC. Tuboh ba sekula tang runding sidak ke bukai. Ngujung ka sida iya enda ulih belajar. Mayuh anembiak ti baka tu.
3. Nadai duit kena sekula.

5. Pengaruh Ari Kawan
Bisi bala nembiak ngembuan pangan/kaling ti enda manah. Sida tu mayuh meri pengaruh ti jai baka ngencuri, ngerogol indu, ngachau pengidup urang bukai, lari ari sekula, nadai ka belajar, enda bebasa ka apai indai serta belayak enggau bala menyadi.

6. Pengaruh Ari Internet/TV

Hjh Rokiah Keropok

It is interesting to watch these two young ladies preparing the keropok lekor at their stall in Kemaman. Our team end up buying lots of dry keropok and keropok lekor which was very delicious. The homemade sauce was splendid. I wish I can bring back some to Sibu but the thought of having to fly alone made me abandon the idea.

Gawai 2009

It has been awhile since my last post. Well I've been very busy. Anyway Gawai 2009 was as usual ....happening and fun. I passed out at the 3rd last unit of our longhouse. So I don't remember what happen after that except waking up at our bilik at 9pm. I'll share some interesting photos of the event and the residence...Happy Viewing. The next day we had a barbeque at the "karangan". This place is beautiful...it's like being in another world. Just take a look at these photos ........

Gawai 2008

Asai ta baru kemari pulai gawai, jampat amat ari mansa kitai. Enda berasai datai gak krismas.

Rindu amat maya gawai. Taun tu sida ba Entalau Skrang bisi ngaga temasya sukan. Aku anang enda enggau urang ngeruh ka ai. Bulih numbur unchit belaban belanda. Udah tuai wai...

A blessed friend..........

Another colleague of mine will be leaving the office at the end of this week....I feel sad but at the same time I'm happy for her. She'll be furthering her studies so I won't be able to hold her back. She was a blessing to this office the day she walk in for the interview. I knew she would be able to carry her job dilligently. Well I wish her all the blessing in the world .......

Skrang River

Maya kami mudik ai skrang ka ulu laban ka ai besai, travelling time shorten to 2 hours. Maya kami pulai ka ili laban ka udah ujan semalam-malam, ai kembai, travelling time nyadi sejam aja lalu datai ba pengakalan Murat. Gambar tu diambi maya kami pulai ka ili. Gelombang ai maya mansa senan besai amat aku abis jempuk tambah ga ari enggai enda ujan halfway. Nya alai enda entu ulih ngambi gambar.

Christmas Carolling

29th Nov 2007, St John's Church Sibu went for Christmas Carolling at our rented house in Sibu. For more than 18 years, this is the first time I had people coming for Christmas Carolling. I almost forgot what it was like to have people singing Christmas Songs.

Our trip to The Mall in Brunei

The Mall is one of the new shopping complex in Brunei. Amai pedis travel ba Brunei. Kami enda tau ngepam minyak ba stesen minyak ba Brunei. This is one of the policy of Brunei Govt that does not allow none register Brunei cars to pump petrol in Brunei. Not a good policy for tourism industry but then again Brunei doesn't need tourism industry to generate money for their country.

My niece's wedding on the 8th of December 2007 in Brunei. The church ceremony was held in Seria Brunei and later on a wedding reception at Liang Recreational Club. The photos of my family at Liang Recreational Club shown below :

Maya pulai ari Sabah aku sempat ngambi gambar sungai-sungai ti bisi ba menua kitai. I'm not sure ba ni endornya tang ti bisi bala ngelala muara sungai ti di ambi akunya tau ga post reply ngagai aku.

Utai ti ka di ke jako aku ditu ianya balat pengamah sungai-sungai kitai. Nama penyadi kitai enda nemu nyaga pemersi sungai-sungai kitai. Utai tu ukai mina ari pengawa kayu balak tang bisi contribution ari sand dredging works (ngambi pasir ari sungai). We have to do something ....Enti enda dudi ari nadai penyadi menua kitai.

Sabah land below the wind...

6th Nov 07 was my very first working trip to Sabah. I was actually reluctant to go but I thought why not give this state a try.....Apu!!!! ari atas bilun mulut aku dah start ternganga.......manah amai view menua tu. Kenyau ari bilun aku terengkah nyentuk ka datai ba destination aku, amat manah menua Sabah tu. It's like going to KL by the beach....According to locals baru empat taun ti ke udah bisi pemasang ba Sabah. Sida empu shopping mall jau lebih besai ari ngi kitai ba Kuching. Tourism industry sida ba Sabah laku amai...Everywhere is tourist.

Kitai ba Sarawak should do something to our beach front. Pemersi enggau pemanah beach kitai ti ba Sarawak enda tau enda diperansang bala pemesai kitai. Anyway above are some of the photos taken maya aku ba Sabah.....

Mas Corner Cafe Sibu

After church service we decided to go for breakfast at Mas Corner Cafe Sibu. The signature dish here is called the ........ I hope I spelt it right..Chor Chai Hoon Nang. It is white elastic mee serve with a sour gravy with ikan tapah or big prawn as the ingredient.

This dish is very delicious because the gravy soup is nicely done with fresh ikan tapah taste. After were done this is how our bowl looks like........

For the love of food.........

I had to collect some documents at Biaramas Sibu on the morning of 3rd Oct. So I thought why not have breakfast at the Yum Yum Cafe nearby. I ordered a Laksa Special. Big prawns and large bowls were on my mind......Well it came as a shocked. My Laksa Special was filled with Char siew meat, fish ball, meat ball, pig's liver and tauhu sumbat......For a while I thought they have sent me the wrong dish but as it turn out the gravy was actually laksa sarawak with all the wrong ingredients....! I didn't take a photo of the dish so you guys just have to try it yourself. Then I decided to try the malay stall, so I ordered a kwayteow tapau. And the photo above is exactly how it looks like.........There was practically nothing added to the kwayteow except for one egg probably! And the worst part is the stall owner had actually fry the kwayteow with a taste of cinnamon. Again....Wrong Ingredient!!!!
